Opportunities For Adults

We want to see adults become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. This requires strong Biblical teaching; relationships that provide fellowship, encouragement, and training for service; and the chance to exercise their gifts and talents. We provide numerous opportunities for adults to become involved (whatever their level of Christian experience) and grow to a new level of vitality in their Christian life.

Informal Activities

You may find it easiest to get to know people through one of our informal activities like the summer golf outing, monthly Wool Gathering (coffee house atmosphere) and other relaxed gatherings throughout the year.

Sunday Evening Prayer

Our Sunday evening prayer time is a marvelous opportunity to meet new friends, and share in prayer in a relaxed atmosphere.

Wednesday Nights

We offer learning opportunities on Wednesday evenings as we are able. Each lasts about 6-8 weeks and provides for interaction with others about both Biblical teaching and current issues. These are more great chances to learn and to forge new friendships.

Power Hour Classes

We have a number of adult classes to choose from on Sunday mornings. Classes meet before morning worship and fellowship.

Small Groups

Choose from home groups or groups that meet at the church. Call the church (217-442-2210) to explore what groups might fit your schedule and meet your needs.

Opportunities to Serve

Worship and Music

There are numerous opportunities to be involved in music ministry. Do you play an instrument? We would love to talk about ways you can share your talents. Other volunteers are needed to work the soundboard, video cameras, lighting and visuals.

Christian Education

If you have the gift of teaching, you will enjoy teaching Sunday morning classes, Wednesday evening studies, or leading small groups.

Nursery & Toddlers

One of our most important ministries is serving our children and their families. We provide Nursery and Toddler care for most all of our services, and appreciate those who volunteer in these areas.

Children's Ministries

Our children's ministries are devoted to the spiritual development of our children. You can share with school-agers in Power Hour classes on Sundays; Kids Night On Wednesdays; or Vacation Bible School over the summer.

Youth Ministries

Besides Sunday morning classes for both Junior and Senior Highs, we provide youth group experiences as well. Sunday nights are great times for developing relationships, mentoring, teaching and celebrating. Our youth also need leaders for special outings from skiing in the winter to camp in the summer.
