Frequently Asked Questions

Questions Often Asked
by Guests & Visitors

We find that there a number of questions that people ask that you may also wonder about. On Sunday mornings, you should find Greeters in the narthex (foyer) that will help you find your way and answer inquires. If you don't find your question answered here, we also encourage you to call the church and ask. If we don't know the answer right away, we'll find somebody who does.

What can I expect when I come to worship?
Our worship service includes blended music and praise, Biblical preaching and prayer. The music is uplifting, including cotemporary and taditional, led by praise teams and/or choir. Morning messages are always taken from the Bible, where we encourage people to discern for themselves God's leading for their lives.

Where are the Restrooms?
There are several restrooms available. From the narthex, facing the sanctuary, there are restrooms just to your left as you start down the hallway. There is a unisex restroom in the fellowship hall at the opposite end from the kitchen, as well as just around the corner in the hallway. There are also restrooms off the main hallway of the education wing. If you need help, our greeters will be glad to assist you.

Where is the nursery?
As you come in the main entrance, you will find the nursery at the end of the hall to your left. Our Nursery and our Toddler room are adjacent to each other.

What is the age of children that can be put in the nursery?
Nursery and toddler room care is provided during the Sunday morning worship service. The nursery includes children birth through 2 years old, while the toddler room includes children 2 through 5 years old.

Can children go to worship with us?
Absolutely. Children are welcome in worship. Children's Church is provided during the message and is a special time just for them. In the event that it is needed, the service can be be viewed on screens in the welcome center so you needn't be self-conscious if children become unruly.

Do you have a Youth Pastor and youth programs?
We sure do. Our Youth Pastor is Jacob Chase. Jacob works with a team of adult leaders to build healthy relationships with with young people and model the life of of Christ.

Besides Sunday morning Power Hour classes, we have youth group as well. Trail Life is the Christian alternative to Scouting that provides another great opportunity. Special mission projects, conferences and camps are also popular.
For more information on how your teens can get involved call 442-2210.

Do I have to be a member of Ridgeview to be married here?
No, however one of our pastors must officiate and couples need to be in agreement with our Philosophy of Sexuality and Marriage as well as take advantage of premarital counseling provided as part of the wedding process. An application form needs to be completed and can be secured in the church office.

How can I become a member?
The most important prerequisite for membership is a personal relationship with Jesus. We encourage you to talk with one of our pastors about the process of becoming a member of Ridgeview.

How can I find a place to serve?
We are more than happy to share with you about how you might serve in ways that use your gifts, talents and the burden or interest that God has laid on your heart. Talk with any pastor about how you might be involved in serving in the church and/or community.
